Yes. Shearing or lightly pruning your azaleas after they flower can increase more flower production next year by forcing more branching of the plant. You can even use hedge shears to trim and shape evergreen azaleas into cloud like forms. Do the pruning on a cloudy day to avoid sunburning the leaves that were once shaded.
