Miniature Roses

We are planning to move from our current location next spring and I am wondering when would be the best time to dig up my mini roses? I have some that are the same name as my children, so I cannot leave them behind (the roses or the children), but the roses are no longer available. Is it better to dig up this fall and put in planters or wait until March or so?

Thank you.

So happy you will take both the children and the roses to your new home. I would say March is a better time of year to dig and transport the roses than this fall. The roses will still be in a state of dormancy and can sleep through the entire operation. Best of luck in your new home and Keep Growing, Marianne Binetti
