How to keep soil from washing away in rain
I live in a townhome with small outdoor garden space. Each year I have a problem trying to keep my soil and mulch from washing away when it rains. I have some plastic garden piping in place, the rain pushes everything over it, creating a huge mess. So I feel like I am throwing money down the drain. Any suggestions?

My suggestion is to invest in raised bed either landscape timbers or retaining wall blocks so that your garden soil is contained. The walls can be slightly higher than the soil level to hole rain water. A raised garden area like this will warm up sooner in the spring and drain quickly giving you earlier blooms. Home center stores sell different sizes of garden blocks that will interlock to make a bed of any shape or size. They give a garden a tidy look by making a strong outline.
Keep growing,
