mlatoure’s Question
Can I keep wintering over my geraniums or do they eventually run out of steam? I’ve been keeping them in the greenhouse during the cold months (Steilacoom)& only heating it when a freeze is predicted. They get moldy but come back okay in the spring.

Congratulations on your green thumb - geraniums can be a bit of a challenge to overwinter but sounds like you have it down. I have seen geraniums that are 3 years old but after that they do tend to decline and it makes more sense to start with some fresh plants. Your old geraniums won't be wasted however. Add them to the compost pile after the first hard frost and think about them turning into compost and feeding you garden for years to come. Keep growing, Marianne Binetti
