No worries. The white part is just dead wood above where the new growth started after a pruning. You can carefully snip it off but don't cut into the new green wood below or just leave it. Lesson to be learned from this image you sent. When you prune try to cut just above a joint or node so when plant resprouts there will be no dead wood stubs. Keep growing, Marianne Binetti
