Your moon flower is actually a type of morning glory vine. It is perennial only in the warmest climates. In your area you can try mulching the roots with three to four inches of wood chips or bark chips in late fall. Then in the spring cut back the top growth to about one foot tall and once the weather warms pull the bark chips away from the roots so the soil can heat up. If you are lucky the roots will have survived and your vine will flower again next summer. Keep growing, Marianne Binetti
