Ideas for an orange and yellow garden theme
I have recently purchased a new home and I’m basically redoing the entire landscaping. I have two sides below a porch to plant flowers, shrubs, etc. I decided to do the small space first which is surrounded (square shape) by a walkway. I started with two orange rose bushes which I just ordered. I’m not sure what to surround them with or even how to arrange this garden. Any ideas would be helpful. I’m contemplating no shrubs as this side of the garden is only 20 X 14. I’m having the worst time finding gardens with roses and other flowers combined in the same space! Any ideas or where to find pictures as reference would be so helpful!

Congratulations on your new home and welcome to the art of landscaping. I love the idea of an orange and yellow themed garden around your roses. Why not add some lower growing marigolds, wax begonias and orange geraniums for summer color? Roses also look great mixed with other shrubs such and Nandina domestica which has a bit of orange and peach in the foliage. I am not sure what zone you garden in but a shortcut to find out what grows best for your climate is to visit other gardens on a garden tour, or even join a garden club. Visit the library and thumb through the garden magazines to find a style you like. Take your time and enjoy the design process. You are improving your property one plant at a time.
Keep growing,
