Mothballs make for a dangerous rabbit deturant

I have alot of rabbits around my house and they love to eat my flowers. i heard that if I put crushed moth balls around my flower beds it should keep them away? Is this true? Should I sprinkle them around the edge of my flower garden or around each flower?

Please do not put mothballs around your flowers. Mothballs are poison to children and many pets and there is an easier way to keep rabbits from your flowers. A commercial company makes a product called \"Hinder\" that keeps pests away or you can use red pepper or chili pepper flakes on the flowers to make them too spicy for the bunnies. Some gardeners also use blood meal or baby powder to create a fragrance that keeps the rabbits out. All are more safe than mothballs and work just as well. Keep growing, Marianne Binetti
