Marianne's Response
Why did my Zingiber zerumbet change color?
My Zingiber zerumbet has always bloomed pink and this year it bloomed green. I don’t understand why. By this time they are usually red and big. Is that normal?

Flowers will change color for many different reasons, but the most common reasons are environmental changes. Colder nights, soil with less or more nutrients, and even a change in soil moisture will all have the potential to change flower colors. I am not familiar with the plant you mentioned but Mother Nature has some say when it comes to flower color. Think of the color change as a way to keep your garden interesting.
