Marianne's Response

Not sure of 4sq.ft.

Your Smart-Release Plant Food was recently recommended to me. I bought some and intend to use it on most of my young trees and in-ground shrubs (most of which are fully established). I fully understand “1 scoop per foot of tree height”. However, what exactly does “1 scoop per 4sq.ft.” mean for shrubs?

Thanks for taking the time to help me learn about your products.

Marianne's Response

That would mean one capful for four square feet of ground surface. So for most shrubs that take up a two foot by two foot square of ground that would be one capful. Keep in mind that slow release plant foods are very forgiving when it comes to the amount used as they won't burn the foliage from overfeeding. Keep growing, Marianne Binetti
