Which month is best for planting cabbage & pumpkins?

That depends on where you live. Cabbages are cool season crops so in most zones March or April are good months. Pumpkins like warm soil and not frosts so plant seeds or plants after all danger of frost has passed in your area - usually late May or June in most US zones.
