Don't worry this is the normal growth habit of a potted orchid. This tropical plant actually likes to be rootbound and sends up aerial roots looking for a tree trunk to latch onto. This is not always a sign that your orchid needs repotting. If it is growing fine and blooming do not disturb the wayward roots.
