Osmocote
How much shall I use for my butterfly bushes? The leaves are turning yellow but some do get flowers already and one of them is just staying so very small and not looking very healthy. I planted all of them last fall. I just do not know how much to put of this Osmocote that hopefully will help them improve. Thanks

Buddleia or butterfly bush is not a heavy feeders so most likely the yellow leaves are from poor drainage or cold weather. Still, adding some slow release plant food like Osmocote will perk them up so I would use one fourth of a cup scattered in a circle around the base of the shrubs. Work the granules into the top inch of soil and then enjoy the show this summer as the pollinators discover your blooming bushes. Keep growing, Marianne Binetti
