Pee burns in lawn
Is there anything I can do to my lawn and/or dog to stop the lawn from burning everywhere she pees? I have a beautiful yard, but there are burn spots everywhere. I walk around with a mixture of soil and seed (like a golfer) and put it on the spots but it seems to take forever for the grass to grow back. And the weird thing is that around each burn area the grass grows really long and quick.

Urine contains a lot of nitrogen which explains the grass growing long and quick but too much nitrogen burns the lawn. Immediately flood the area with water if you catch the dog in the act and squirt the dog as well. Your goal is to train your pup to go only in a designated potty area. Many dog owners have done this successfully. Consult a dog trainer for the best training method for your breed. Keep growing, Marianne Binetti
