Are Hydrangeas perennials?

Yes, hydrangeas are perennials if you consider the meaning to mean a plant that returns each year instead of living just one season like an annual or bedding plant. However most gardeners consider the word "perennial" for non woody plants. Hydrangeas are most often considered shrubs and they will grow in your zone. Keep growing, Marianne Binetti
