Marianne's Response
pescemu-question
I’m so frustrated by my roses. I have sprayed, fertilized, pruned & watered and still I have diseased-looking plants. There are a lot of black spots on the leaves; also the leaves turn yellow and drop off. Many of the buds look deformed”. I still get some decent blooms but again the leaves on their stems don’t look healthy. What is this and what can I do?”

It sounds like classic black spot disease on your roses which is a fungus among us encouraged by damp, warm weather. The best solution is to only plant disease resistant roses. I have a list of the best in my book Easy Answers for Great Gardens\" (Sasquatch press
