The good news is that your butterfly bush or Buddleja is a very easy care shrub. Just give it well drained soil and full sun to light shade and water well at transplant time then this shrub needs just moderate water when the soil is dry. You can enjoy the beautiful butterflies that flock to the blooms in summer and in the spring you can snip off the faded flowers if you want a more tidy look to this shrub. Buddleja is not a heavy feeder so in average soil it will not require fertilizing.  Keep growing, Marianne Binetti
