Pink Ageratum

Last year I was able to buy pink Ageratum plants. This year I cannot find any. These were pale pink, not purple. Can you give me their proper name-and Latin name? There are so many things on the internet, I can’t narrow it down. Thank you.

The Argeratum Mexicanum is most commonly sold in the blue form but you can order seeds for pink blooms and this annual is easy to grow from seed. It also goes by the common name Floss Flower. I would go online to j"seed source" and locate seeds for the pink variety that way. You can also make a written request to a local nursery that grows their own annuals to grow the pink variety for you next spring so you can buy plants from them next summer. Most growers want to know what gardeners in their area will buy and requesting specific varieties now before the orders for next year go to the wholesaler is the best way to get your local nursery to carry specific plants. I agree, the soft pink form of this bedding plant is lovely. Keep growing, Marianne Binetti
