That little cutie looks like a maple to me. Perhaps a form of the smaller leaved Japanese maple. I would put it into a larger container and enjoy it as a pot plant for a few years. Then you will have a better idea of how fast it grows, if it has good fall color and other traits. It just might become a great tree in your landscape - or an interesting specimen for a container.
