I have had great success using the Miracle Grow soil for raised beds. I think I found this product at Wal Mart. You can amend any soil you purchase with compost or rotted leaves if you feel you need to increase the ability of the soil to hold water. The soil in raised beds needs to drain well but also hold moisture in the soil much like a sponge. Keep growing, Marianne Binetti
