Marianne's Response

Privacy and camouflage

Hi! My neighbors just built a 10’ treehouse right next to my seclusion fence near the shaded corner I am planning to make pretty with a layering of taller plant and several smaller ones in front. To make a pretty scene with a 3’ y’all statue. I am wondering if I should consider planting privacy trees or shrubs first, in that corner, that would camouflage the treehouse or just ignore it!

I would just ignore the tree house as once the novelty wears off it will most likely not be used much. If you want to add more plants look for "understory" trees and shrubs that like dappled shade. Japanese maples, rhododendrons and hydrangeas are some suggestions. Keep growing, Marianne Binetti
