What causes gardenia blooms to yellow so quickly?
Hi, I have gardenia buttons and the blooms are turning yellow so fastâtwo days or even less. Is this normal? Is there something I can do? Thank you.

There are many reasons why petals will yellow so quickly, but most often it is heat or sun that turns them. Can you move the plant to a cooler, more shaded location? Too much fertilizer and too much water can also age the petals quickly. One quick way to test for too much sun is to place an umbrella over the shrub to shade it and see if the plant responds with a better attitude. Keep growing, Marianne Binetti
