Peter does not like pepper. I have had good luck sprinkling red pepper flakes onto new growth in the spring so that the mama rabbits learns to stay away and teaches here young to avoid your yard as well. You might also invest in an underground mesh fencing that goes down at least a foot to keep rabbits from digging and consider a visit from a dog that would leave a scent in the area.
