Marianne's Response

reedb56’s Question

I just planted kewensis wintercreeper on a hill to stop erosion where mulch always washes into the driveway. Should I mulch around the groundcover until it fills in or will mulch be harmful?
Thankyou

A mulch would be beneficial to the newly planted hillside as long as it doesn't end up washing into the driveway. A stringy or woody mulch of wood chips may be best. Don't worry if it looks a bit rough - once the groundcover fills in you won't ever see the mulch - or need to mulch again. Keep growing, Marianne Binetti
