Putting gardenias outside in the summer
I just bought a gardenia plant. Can I put it outside in the summer?
I live in Boston, MA.

Yes, your summer weather in Boston is warm enough for gardenias but bring the plant back indoors by September before the nights get cold. Gardenias need high humidity and moist soil so mist the plant often and do not let the soil dry out. Enjoy that wonderful sweet scent. Keep growing, Marianne Binetti
