This climbing rose likes a warm spot so protection from cold winds is an ideal spot climbing up a wall or trellis close the house. Plant like any other rose by digging a very large hole twice as deep and as wide as the spread of the roots. Mix in compost to the soil you remove from the planting hole. Add some Osmocote plant food as well. Set the spreading rose roots on top of a small mound of soil and add more soil around the roots so that the union of the roots and crown is just below the soil surface.
