Right Osmocote for Lettuce
Hello,
today we planted lettuce in pots and used potting soil and my wife wanted to use your Osmocote Plus outdoor and indoor up to 6 months because of the higher nitrogen, 15-9-12. Can you use this type on vegetables? There was not listed if it can be used on vegetebles. I would appreciate a guidance on this, thank you, Francesco Martiradonna PS: I have been using regular Osmocote in my vegetable garden for many years now and also the one for flowers.

Yes - your wife is correct and the Osmocote Plus is fine for your lettuce plants. Remember that Osmocote is a slow release plant food and so you do not need to worry about overfeeding if you just follow the amount suggested on the package. I had great results using it on my kale plants. Keep growing, Marianne Binetti
