rose bud
what could be eating my rose buds and nothing else. not the leaves. don’t know how to do a photo. photos are on my phone

There is a tiny green worm that hatches from an egg laid by a fly that burrows into rose buds. Snip off the infected rose buds and destroy. The good news is that this fly only lays eggs early in the season so the problem should go away on its own. Keep growing, Marianne Binetti
