Helping Gerber daisies bloom again

I bought a couple gerber daisies and put them in a planter. They bloomed for a few weeks, then nothing. I have beautiful green leaves but no blooms. How often are they supposed to bloom, and how do I get the daisies to bloom again?

Gerber daisies are the divas of the plant world. They like morning sun, moist but not wet soil, and plenty of fertilizer. They also attract slugs and will grow soft and moldy with too much rain. If your Gerber daisies have nice green foliage than you have been doing a good job with watering and sun exposure. Sounds like you could use a bit more fertilizer and at least 4 hours of sun each day. I have used Osmocote around my Gerber daisies and been rewarded with a second flush of blooms, but it did take a few weeks for new buds to form after the first flush of early summer flowers.
