Marianne's Response

Rust is a disease that spreads during wet weather and when plants have poor air circulation. Remove all infected leaves and do not compost them. A fresh wood chip mulch under the roses will help to seal in rust spores that fall to the ground while removing foliage. Then spray the roses with a fungicide spray following directions and as the weather becomes more dry in the summer the problem should be less severe. Keep growing, Marianne Binetti
