Is urine a good fertilizer?
My darling husband says that human urine is a great fertilizer, but I am not so sure. Please help us settle this family issue. I have 3 boys who think they should be able to pee in the garden too. Help!

Urine from healthy humans has been used as fertilizer for generations. It is not encouraged by our modern health departments however. I do admit that my own brothers often activated the compost pile (urine is full of nitrogen) and also scared off the local deer by marking the property with urine. I prefer the powder room.
