Sanitize soil necessary
Is it necessary to clean the soil before replaying again in a raised vegetable garden after rats were discovered (rats have been eradicated )

No, I do not think this is necessary and have never heard it recommended. Sorry about the rats but glad you got control of the critters. Keep growing, Marianne Binetti
