When to plant hellebores
I read your article on using hellebores at Christmas and thought it was a great idea. My question is when can I plant them?

Marianne's Response
Hellebores are woodland perennials which means they prefer partial shade, rich soil with lots of leaf matter or compost. They will adapt to other conditions as they are very tough plants. Plant hellebores under rhododendrons or maples, along a pathway on the East or North side of a house, along the edge of a woodland or pasture or grow them in large containers in a location that is shaded from the afternoon sun. They also look great in mixed borders or between shrubs. Enjoy your heavenly hellebores.
Keep growing,
