Marianne's Response

sdasdw’s Question

What is the best soil ph for peonies? I live in Georgia where there is a lot of pine straw on the ground. I am wondering if I need to reduce the acidity of the soil to aid my peonies.

No worries. Peonies do fine in acid soil or even more basic soil. Mine bloom under a cedar tree. What they do need is at least half a day of sun and do not pant them too deep - the growth bud should be just barely covered with soil. Keep growing, Marianne Binetti
