seecha123’s Question

I am planning to fertilize my hostas with osmocote plus this year. In the past I have used 10x10x10. Unsure of application rates for individual plants? Instructions just give square footage rates. I want to dig in the osmocote around each Hosta plant. Wondering if you have suggestied amount per plant? I do not intend to fertilize all the other plants with this as it’s expensive and they are mostly matured plants that don’t need much for fertilizer. My hostas are mostly immature plants.

I think you will love the results of putting one tablespoon of Osmocote around the base of each young hosta plant. Work the granules into the soil a bit. Now be patient as the Osmocote releases the nutrients as the soil warms when the hosta are growing the most. Be ready for huge leaves. Keep growing, Marianne Binetti
