No you can reuse the soil year after year but you must add nutrients. I add Osmocote Plus to my raised bed each spring and also a few inches of compost to the top of the soil in the fall. Then the earthworms have all winter to pull the compost down into the soil for spring planting. Keep growing, Marianne Binetti
