Smelly soil
We have found a bag of smelly soggy soil left over from last year. Is there any way this soil could be used or should we just dump it in the woods?

I would spread the wet soil out on a sheet of cardboard on a sunny day and let it dry out. Then use it on the bottom of large pots with fresh potting soil in the top half and the once smelly potting soil below. Do not use new seedlings or around plants that could get mildew. It would also be great in a compost pile. I use plastic clips like for chips to keep my potting soil bags rolled up and closed tight so they don't get full of water. Keep growing, Marianne Binetti
