Marianne's Response

Sungron-question

I put lime on my lawn last year and plan to repeat this year. I have also heard that peat moss is great for lawns. Should I use both or would the characteristics of one cancel out the other?

Marianne's Response

Depends on where you live and your soil. If your lawn has moss or is damp or in the shade, do not add peat moss. Too much moisture will be held. If you have sandy soil, hot sun and need to add organic matter to hold moisture then peat moss is the greatest. Lime and peatmoss can be applied together. Keep growing, Marianne Binetti
