Marianne's Response
Jade plants are succulent and store water in their fleshy leaves - so first advice is not to overwater. Choose a potting soil that drains quickly and make sure the pot has a drainage hole. Jade plants also do well when the roots are crowded so use a small container - for a five inch cutting a clay pot just 4 inches wide would be great. Jade plants also go dormant in the winter so don't water more than once a month from Nov - March. Then in spring use a slow release plant food like Osmocote and you'll have a happy jade plant.
