Hand pollinating cucumbers and tomatoes

Last year I hand pollinated my squash as you recommended and it made a positive difference. I plan to do the same thing this year. Is it worthwhile to do the same thing with cucumbers and tomatoes, or shall I let nature take its course?

You can certainly hand pollinate your cucumbers and tomatoes by using a tiny paintbrush to transfer pollen from the male to the female flowers. On tomatoes it also helps to just shake the stem of the plant a bit, releasing pollen in the air to settle on the other open blossoms. I see a lot of vegetables in your future.
