Marianne's Response
Let the fuchsias sleep
I have been overwintering fuchsia for the past couple of years following your guidance and have had great results. Just one more question. Is it beneficial to set the plant out to get some sun when the weather permits or is it best to leave it totally in the dark and not disturb dormancy?

Let sleeping fuchsias stay in the dark. When you do see signs of new growth in March or April that is when you can pamper them with bright sunlight but don't let them sit in the cold outdoors for too long. A sunroom or greenhouse is ideal for them in April and early May. Glad you have been successful with your overwintering. Keep growing, Marianne Binetti
