How much to water cucumbers
Hi Marianne,
I have a cucumber question. Some of my cukes are plump at the stem end and taper off to a little curly tip. I would have thought it was a watering consistency issue, but I hose them down thoroughly every day. What do I need to do or stop doing?

I suspect you did not water enough on hot days or during the crucial flowering phase. They prefer water at the roots rather than overhead watering with a hose and a deep soaking every three or four days rather than a little bit each day. At least you know part of the cuke will be good to eat so keep cool and enjoy. Keep growing, Marianne Binetti
