Small white spots on grape tomatoes
Hi, Marianne,
I had a great year with grape tomatoes, but have noticed that some of the last ones had little white/transparent spots inside the skin like blisters that were about to were about to burst through. Could this be a symptom of overwatering?

Small white spots could be caused by too much water on the skin of the tomato but if the spots look water soaked and are the size of a match head they could be a sign of Anthracnose disease a fungal infection. Then the spots would enlarge and the fungus would spread internally rotting the tomato. Do not work around wet plants to deter this fungus. You will know soon if you have rain spots or Anthracnose - uproot the plants if the tomatoes rot from the fungus but enjoy them if the spots are just blemishes on the skin. Keep growing, Marianne Binetti
