Marianne's Response

Something is Eating My Garden!

Everything in my garden appears to be infected. Looks like something is eating the plants. I feel like pulling everything up and starting over. But, I don’t know if the problem is in the soil. Can I plant in same spots or should I move things around? My vegetables are in raised beds and I have been rotating so nothing has been in their current location before. What is infected is the spinach, tomatoes, potato leaves, watermelon and some of the squash. Hope the picture helps.

So sorry but I did not get the photo you tried to send. My best guess is that slugs and snails are devouring your garden. They only come out at night or after a rain so visit the garden with a flashlight and see if you can find what is eating your plants. There are several safe slug baits on the market that you can use in a vegetable garden. \'Nature\'s Care\' made by the Scotts company is one example and works well to defend your plants from slugs and snails. Good luck, and Keep growing, Marianne Binetti
