What causes canary reed grass?
Help! We have a lawn that has been overrun with Canary Reed Grass. How do we control this invader? Is there a solution that doesn’t involve massive amounts of Round-up? Our septic drain field is in the middle of the lawn so driving tractors would be problematic! I’d love to have a yard that was less of an obstacle course for my parents!

Sounds like you need to improve your drainage by adding topsoil or adding some berms and gravel paths and give up on the idea of a perfect lawn. This may be a case were a local landscape designer can access your drainage issues and recommend a solution or lawn alternative. Keep growing, Marianne Binetti
