Marianne's Response

tango-question

I brought my hibiscus plant inside for the winter. Leaves are fallig off and it looks like some of the stocks are dying. Should I prune it before it goes outside in the summer or is the whole plant going to die?

Marianne's Response

I say wait until spring then cut it back by two thirds, add some slow release plant food like Osmocote, give it max light from your brightest window and bring back outdoors as soon as all danger of frost is past. It still may not bloom until mid summer so don't feel bad if you decide to dump it. Life is too short to up up with ugly plants. Keep growing, Marianne Binetti
