No, not unless you already have plenty  of tomatoes and you are just waiting for them to ripen up. Instead surround the plant with three taller stakes then use string to corral the plants inside the circle of stakes. Some varieties of tomatoes can grow to six feet tall to be ready with tall bamboo or pole type supports. I see lots of fresh tomatoes in your future. Keep growing, Marianne Binetti
