Tomatoes from Seed
Hi Marianne
I keep getting sprouts that grow up very skinny and weak about 3 to 4 inches tall were using seed starter soil indoors
In the morning sun. I have a hard time getting them strong enough to transplant to bigger pots or put outside in the garden were in Arizona so i’m wanting to get plants in the ground soon.

Skinny seedlings are most often from lack of sun, lack of plant food or poor soil. Try using potting soil with fertilizer already mixed into the soil such as Miracle Grow potting soil and adding more hours of sunlight. I use Osmocote around my tomato plants in the spring and it feeds for them for a good six months. You may need to provide shade in your climate every afternoon. For better tips on growing in your climate I suggest you contact your local Master Gardeners. Keep growing, Marianne Binetti
