Legume suggestions

I’m looking for a low growing perennial legume cultivar that will act as field cover where I could plant and harvest grass cultivars (wheat, barley, triticale, oats).

If you are thinking of a cover crop, the best type of legume (vetch, field peas, or clover) would depend on your climate zone and the amount of moisture in your soil. It sounds like you have a farm situation with a lot of land. Your local extension agent would be the best person for advice on this question. Good for you to plant a legume that will add nitrogen to your soil. Keep growing, Marianne Binetti
