Carefully. Use tongs to handle  or wrap the cactus in cardboard to move it without getting spiked. Dig a hole in well drained soil or use potting soil with added sand or perlite for extra drainage. Do not overwater but moisten soil well after the transplant. Keep growing, Marianne Binetti
